A new compact car for 1903, the type 54's production volume reached considerable levels for the time, with 250 built in the first year. It was fitted with a 652 cc engine developing 5 hp. A power output that, given the light weight of the car, made it possible to reach speeds of 40 km/h.The wheels were driven by a shaft, a technological evolution already seen with Peugeot vehicles the year before
